Same House Records (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it, why we collect it, who helps us handle it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
Enquiries: when you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the type of enquiry and your message.
Newsletter: when you subscribe we keep your email address and the topics you chose (releases, news, events).
Tickets: event checkout is handled by eventOS, with payments processed by Paystack. We receive the booking details needed to run the event, such as your name, email address and ticket. We never see or store your card details.
Security: to stop spam and abuse we briefly use your IP address in a scrambled (hashed) form to limit repeated submissions. Our hosting providers also keep short-lived technical logs.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, send the emails you asked for, run events and ticketing, and keep the website secure and working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything you would not reasonably expect.
Who helps us
We use trusted service providers to run the website: Vercel (hosting), Railway (database), Cloudflare (media delivery), Resend (email delivery), eventOS and Paystack (tickets and payments). They handle information only to provide their service to us. Some of them process data outside Nigeria; where they do, we rely on providers that protect it to a standard the law recognises.
WhatsApp community
Joining the Housemates community happens on WhatsApp. Your phone number, name and messages are visible to other members and are governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. You can leave the community at any time.
Cookies and storage
The site remembers your light or dark display choice in your browser. Staff sign-in uses a secure cookie that only applies to our private studio. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and keep a reasonable record of it. We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. After that we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it or move it to another service. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
